NACOPRW Future Leader Scholarship

The National Conference of Puerto Rican Women – Milwaukee Chapter (NACOPRW) is proud to announce that applications for the 2026 Future Leader Scholarship are now open.

Who can apply?

This scholarship is open to young women who identify as Puerto Rican or of Puerto Rican descent, and who are either recent high school graduates (within the last six months) or currently enrolled in a college, university, or technical school in Milwaukee County.

What we're looking for

We look for applicants who demonstrate leadership in their school or community, a commitment to serving others, and the drive to use their education to create meaningful change. Our scholars reflect the spirit of NACOPRW's founding mission: building stronger communities through leadership, cultural pride, and the empowerment of Latina women.

What to submit

  • Completed application form (see link below)
  • Most recent unofficial transcript
  • Proof of enrollment or acceptance letter
  • Essay (500 words max) on community service and your vision for the future
  • One letter of recommendation from a teacher, employer, or organizational leader

Submit to milwaukee@nacoprw.org with subject line Scholarship Application-Your Name by May 8, 2026. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
